Our Team:

Ken Mulago - Executive Director

Born and raised in Jinja, Uganda, Ken served as a Child Development Officer and Project Director for Compassion International and as a director for the Girl Child Empowerment and Advocacy Program in Busia before founding New Hope in 2003. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Makerere University, where he studied Sociology and Economics. Ken lives with his wife and three children in Busia.

Namusisi Asha - Finance and Donor Relations Officer

She holds a bachelors degree in Business Computing from Makerere University. She has a great passion for children

Ojambo Augustine - Microcredit Officer

Augustine is a native of Busia. He holds a Diploma in Accountancy from the Institute of Accounts in Jinja where he graduated in 1994. Before joining New Hope Ministries, Augustine worked with Uganda People Transport Company from 1982 to 1992 in the position of Senior Wages Supervisor, and later moved to Businya Child Development Centre where he worked as the Finance Officer from 2003 to 2009. He joined New Hope Ministries to work as the Finance and Microcredit Officer. He is married to Susan with seven children: Rebecca, Sarah, Sam, Juliet, Joshua, Happy, and Cornerstone.

Barasa Mark -Child Care Officer

His high school was sponsored by Ken Mulago, Director of New Hope, long before New Hope Orphanage was founded. After his high school education, Mark felt called to work for orphans. He joined New Hope Orphanage in 2007 and he is currently working as Child Care Officer. He has a strong passion to serve orphans since he himself is an orphan.
