New Hope Africa Children Ministries is a Ugandan based Christian, non-profit making organization founded in 2003 in response to the plight of children caught up in the twin crisis of AIDS and extreme poverty.  

Our goals are;

• Reduce the vulnerability of children through provision of basic needs such as food, education, healthcare, clothing and shelter

• Promote the rights and safety of children

• Fight poverty by providing community access to micro-credit and agricultural services

• Promote community health education, sustainable nature and environmental conservation service delivery

• Contribute to the prevention of HIV/AIDS and mitigate its impact by supporting people infected and affected by the disease. 

In response to the above goals, New Hope provides direct care and support to orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. Since 2003, New Hope has assisted hundreds of the most vulnerable children in Kaliro and Busia Uganda, who would otherwise have had no place to go by providing them food, shelter, healthcare, education and recreational facilities, giving them hope and helping them reach their God-given potential. Many of the children New Hope supports have been orphaned by AIDS, some have suffered physical and sexual abuse, and all have lived in extreme poverty and exploitative conditions.

To address the root causes of poverty and child vulnerability,New  empowers the desperately poor households economically, supporting them to start income generating activities to uplift their socio-economic status.

Additionally, New Hope implements a community health outreach program in Kaliro district, promoting household and community health through raising awareness about good hygiene and sanitation, HIV/AIDS revention practices, nutrition, malaria prevention, maternal health and food security.

Our mission

New Hope Africa Children Ministries exists to foster community development through empowering the local children, the poor, marginalized and disadvantaged people to break and emerge out of the bondage of poverty. Our overall goal is to improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life of the disadvantaged people achieved through;

(1) Sponsoring orphans and vulnerable children to have access to shelter, food, healthcare, education and recreational facilities, give them hope and help them reach their God-given potential

(2) Empowering the desperately poor women economically to enable them start income generating activities to uplift their economic status.

(3) Promoting household hygiene and sanitation, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria prevention, maternal health and food security through community Health Outreach.

Our Focus: New Hope focuses on the care and well being of the country's most vulnerable children and the poor. We are a non-discriminative organization that does not practice discrimination based on gender, religion, ethnic background, nationality or color.

 Holistic Approach: New Hope provides children with holistic care; we offer our children access to education, food, health care and clothing, in addition to psychological and spiritual support. New Hope also acts as an advocate by protecting the rights of these children.
