Meet Muhamed

My Story

Rajab lost his father to HIV/AIDS in 2003.  Two years later, his mother also succumbed to the virus.

After the death of his parents, Rajab and his siblings were left without any adult to care for them.  Their home became a child-headed household with Rajab’s 17 year old sister acting as the primary income-earner and caregiver.  Although Rajab and his siblings received some support from a friend of their mother’s, they did not have enough food and often missed school.

Rajab and his siblings are now under the care of New Hope.  Rajab is attending school, eating well and receiving medical care whenever needed.  His sister is also back in school and doing very well.

Rajab dreams of finishing school and become a doctor.
