My Story
Fred’s father succumbed to AIDS a few months before Fred was born. Fred’s mother is HIV positive and often bed-ridden from AIDS. Because of his mother’s illness, Fred could not afford to go to school or eat more than once per day. Before coming to New Hope, Fred spent most days performing with a village music group for a very small wage.
Fred is now under the full care of New Hope and dreams of becoming a pilot.
