Meet Jaqueline Sponsored

My Story

Jaqueline’s mother left the family in January of 2008, and she and her sisters and brother were left with her father, who was unable to care for them. The neighbors brought her and her siblings some food and water so they could survive. The children were not bathing and were very malnourished.

All four children and their father became infected with jiggers  and the neighbors became concerned and contacted the local government authority. They were taken to a health center where the jiggers were removed.  The children were de-wormed and given food and proper clothing.

The local government contacted the local newspaper who came and took pictures of Jaqueline and her siblings. The director of New Hope, Ken Mulago, read the article in the newspaper about the children. Ken wrote to the newspaper who published his letter, and then the local authorities contacted Ken about the children. Jaqueline and her siblings were admitted to New Hope.
